NSCDC arrests man for theft

Operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested one Moshood Ahmed of Ile Ago, Pakata Area, Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, allegedly on his way to carry out his nefarious activities alongside his gang members.”

The spokesman of the NSCDC Kwara state Command, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, said: “The suspect in connivance with two others who are presently at large are gang members that specialised in stealing motorcycles, mostly at night in the area.

“Moshood confessed that he belonged to a gang of criminals that specialised in stealing motorcycles mostly at night between 12:00am and 01:00am.
He also stated that their meeting point is Ode Alausa.

“He added that they’ve carried out series of operations at Oojere, Mandate and Adangba areas in recent past.

“Court order has been obtained to keep him in custody pending the resumption of court activities due to the ongoing strike action by judiciary workers.”
