Our Target Is To Boost IGR of Bauchi State – Zaranda Hotel Management

The Management of  Zaranda Hotel Limited Bauchi, has reiterated its commitment to work towards boosting the Internally Generated Revenue of the state as well save the industry from collapse.

The Acting General Manager of the Hotel, Abdullahi Mohammad Sani who stated this in an interview with National Trail in Bauchi, said the transparency policy of the present administration, we are trying to block fraudulent acts which were affecting the industry revenue drive, by check mating the fraudulent acts.

Sani said this policy was aimed at checkmating fraudulent practices among staff and boost the Internally Generated Revenue, (IGR).

He asserted that ‎the Hotel nearly collapses if not for Governor Mohammed Abubakar who save it with capital and renovation.

“As a result of the renovation  of the decayed hotel facilities embarked  upon by the present administration, the hotel is now wearing a new look ever ready  for Conferences, Annual General Meeting, Seminars, High profile wedding, Tourists and chance guests, and Political activities among others”, he said.

He noted that the governor since inception of his administration has maintained peaceful and harmonious relationship among people in the state through purposeful leadership which encouraged tourism activities in the state for economic growth.

Mohammed commended the efforts of the state government for what he described as good stewardship, progressive and purposeful leadership of Mohammed Abubakar.

He said Governor Abubakar has significantly promoted economic advancement of the state by turning Bauchi into a big construction site through massive infrastructural development and enhancement of intervention in various sectors of human development including hotel industry.

The GM added that Governor M A Abubakar’s two years in office has also exhibited excellence in road network projects, housing development, urban renewal of major towns and of course youth, sports and women development.
The GM who enumerated some of his achievements recorded during the period under review includes the settlement of 5 months staff salaries inherited.

Other achievements according to the Acting General Manager are the maintaining and improving service delivery through aggressive marketing drive, improving cost control without compromising quality, Training and re- training of staff, Prompt response to guest needs and total commitment to work by staff of the industry.

The GM said “After a diligent appraisal of M A Abubakar’s administration in Bauchi since inception in May 2015, including the upliftment of Zaranda hotel to international standards, the entire leadership and followership of Zaranda hotel wishes to identify with the extraordinary performance of the state government in just two years of human development, Social reorientation and enabling environment to all Bauchi state residents
