PDP Youth Vanguard Distances Self From PDP Reps Caucus position on Yakassai Invitation

In a twist of events, there appears to be conflict of interest within the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as it’s youth vanguard has distanced itself from the position of the party’s cacaus in the House of Representatives over the invitation of ex special advisor to the governor of Kano state, Alh Yakassai Tanko.

The opposition party’s youth vanguard made their position known in a in statement signed by its general secretary, Hon Osai Richard and released to journalists on Monday in Abuja following the statement from the party’s caucus in the House of Representatives against President Muhammadu Buhari and the Department of State Security Service.

“Recall the PDP caucus in the house had derided the Department of State Security Service and President Buhari and called for total discontinuation of ongoing investigations into potential threats to national security”

“How can lawmakers who purport to be representatives of the people turn around and be acting like lawbreakers, actively participating in security sabotage using the platform of the hallowed chambers?

“Where on earth in the world do representatives of the people seek to stand as a clog in the wheel of legitimate security investigations?

“Where is the patriotism of the lawmakers and to what extent would the political capital which they seek to achieve provide security of lives and property for nigerians?

The group further maintained that but for the professionalism and proactive approach to issues by the department of state security services, a lot would have happened in this country.

“We wonder why president Buhari has not yet ordered the arrest of the PDP Caucus members in the house of representatives since they already labelled him a dictator” this is self-contradicting.

The group also averred that, in the interest of national security, Mr President and security agencies should not be distracted no matter the blackmail from unpatriotic sources.

“We call on the leadership of our great party to discipline Hon Kingsley Chinda and other members in the PDP Caucus for draging the name of the party into disrepute”
