President Bola Tinubu Embarks on Maiden Visit to Maiduguri

In a significant development, President Bola Tinubu has departed from Abuja for Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State. The departure occurred earlier today from the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at approximately 10:35 am.

This marks President Tinubu’s first visit to the North-Eastern region of the country since assuming office. The Director of Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, has provided details about the opening ceremony, which is set to include an address to the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI.

During the visit, President Tinubu is also scheduled to inspect the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri and participate in the laying of the foundation stone for Headquarters 7 Division. This visit holds strategic importance in the context of the security situation in the North-Eastern region.
