The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has officially confirmed that it will deliver its verdict on Wednesday, September 6, regarding the three petitions challenging the declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
Umar Mohammed Bangari, the Chief Registrar of the Court of Appeal, who is overseeing the Tribunal, confirmed this date to Channels Television on Monday. He assured that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure a smooth and problem-free delivery of the judgment for the three petitions.
The petitions in question were filed by Abubakar Atiku, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Peter Obi, the Labour Party (LP) candidate; and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
Bangari also mentioned that comprehensive security measures have been implemented, and access to the courtroom will be limited to invited members of political parties and the general public to prevent overcrowding and security concerns.
