Senate Sacks Ndume As Majority Leader

The All Progressives Congress, APC members of the Senate has removed SenatorAli Ndume as the Majority leader and replaced him Senator Ahmed Lawan.
This was conveyed by Senate President Bukola Saraki in a letter he said was sent to him by the caucus.
The caucus elected to replace Mr. Ndume with Ahmed Lawan, their letter read by Mr. Saraki said.
In reaction, Mr. Ndume said the decision of the caucus to remove him as leader was shocking, asserting that he was not awarte of what led to the decision venue of the meeting to remove him.
Pondits are of the view that his removal has to do with the Senate indictment of Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and the rejection of Ibrahim Magu as EFCC Chairman.
