The king and queen of Sweden have postponed an official dinner this week due to the recent cases of coronavirus diagnosed in the country, the palace said on Monday.

No fewer than 150 guests had been expected for Wednesday’s dinner.
“Awaiting further development of events, Their Majesties, as hosts, choose to postpone the Official Dinner … out of consideration for the invited guests,” the palace statement read.
Earlier Monday, the Swedish Public Health Agency said it considered the risk of detecting cases of Covid-19 in the country to be high, but the risk of the infection spreading was considered low.
Sweden has recorded 14 cases.
COVID-19 was first detected in China in late December 2019 and has since spread to more than 50 countries, prompting the World Health Organisation to declare a global health emergency.
So far, the virus has infected more than 89,000 people worldwide, with more than 3,000 people having died and over 45,000 recovered.
