President Bola Tinubu has greenlit the appointment of a new four-member management team for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.
According to a statement released on Thursday by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, the appointees are as follows: Gbenga Alade as Managing Director/CEO; Aminu Ismail as Executive Director; Adeshola Lamidi as Executive Director, and Lucky Adaghe as Executive Director.
President Tinubu expects the new appointees to demonstrate unwavering dedication, professionalism, and diligence to ensure AMCON’s operations are more efficient, transparent, and aligned with his commitment to sanitizing the nation’s financial system, thereby maximizing value and boosting investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
Furthermore, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of qualified Nigerians to serve in three agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
According to another statement issued by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, the new appointees include Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner, Technical Services; Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
For the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Abiodun Attah has been appointed as Executive Director, Technical Services; Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director, Finance & Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director, Marketing & Business Development.
President Tinubu expressed optimism that the seasoned professionals in these agencies will deliver excellent service to elevate the impact of the digital economy sector on the socio-economic development of the nation.
