Yusuf has revoked the sales of Kano Paediatric Hospital and the Governor’s lodge.

In an ongoing effort to reclaim public assets that were unlawfully sold during the previous administration in Kano state, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has announced the revocation of the sales of Hasiya Bayero Paediatric hospital and the Governor’s lodge situated in Kwankwasiyya city. This revocation takes effect immediately.

Governor Yusuf personally led a delegation of senior government officials to inspect the two sites, and he has instructed for the prompt renovation of the health facility. His directive is for the facility to be restored to its original purpose as a specialist hospital, catering to the medical needs of numerous children from both within and outside the state.

A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, highlighted the governor’s dissatisfaction with the previous government’s sale of these properties to their associates for personal gain.According to the statement, Governor Yusuf has reiterated his commitment to fulfill the promises made during his election campaign. He emphasized that his administration will persist in reclaiming public properties that were either mismanaged or sold through questionable transactions. Furthermore, he assured that any assets that are recovered will be utilized prudently for the benefit of the people of the state.
