Tony Okocha, the Leader/Chairman of the Caretaker Committee (CTC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers state, has criticized the government of Governor Siminilaye Fubara, describing it as clueless, rudderless, directionless, and visionless. Okocha expressed his views after observing recent events in the state and the alleged lack of vision by Governor Fubara in addressing the economic challenges.

In a statement by his Special Assistant on Media, Amb. Vincent Gbosi, Okocha emphasized the need to condemn what is condemnable and appreciate commendable actions, irrespective of whose interests are involved. He questioned the government’s policies and programs in addressing the economic situation, urging Governor Fubara to learn from other state governors who are implementing measures to alleviate the suffering of their citizens.

Okocha also raised concerns about the prioritization of thanksgiving services and street processions over practical solutions to economic issues. He compared the situation to other states, highlighting the proactive measures taken by governors facing similar challenges. Okocha underscored the need for effective leadership, expressing confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to solving economic problems and implementing solutions without resorting to orchestrated public disturbances.

The APC leader assured the people of Rivers that President Tinubu is focused on providing short and long-term solutions to alleviate difficulties faced by Nigerians. He criticized the use of public demonstrations and emphasized the importance of visionary leadership in navigating economic challenges.
