“Adeleke advocates for trans-regional task force to combat cross-border crime.”

In Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke is urging the creation of a trans-regional security force to address the increasing incidents of cross-border crimes in the South-West. This call was highlighted during his meeting with Maj.-Gen. Valentine Okoro. The governor commended the military’s role in bolstering security within the state. Elsewhere in Ondo State, the Amotekun Corps, dedicated to upholding peace, has made headway in mitigating farmer-herder clashes. They’ve prosecuted 850 violators of the anti-open grazing law, securing close to 100 convictions. Additionally, the Corps maintains strict standards, penalizing officers who diverge from its protocols.
