APC Women Endorse Tinubu/Shettima

Over 2000 women attended the inauguration of the Women wing of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign council in Abuja with a view to take the campaigns door to door.
The women who were so excited over the first public outing by the presidential standard bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, resolved to mobilize all Nigerian women to support the APC candidate.
The arrival of the Presidential candidate, who critics argue does not have the physical strength to withstand the campaigns was the climax of the event, as they scrambled to catch a glimpse if him.
Our correspondent reports that, Tinubu who appeared with his running mate Kashim Shettima was virtually mobbed, as the women fell over themselves trying to pay homage..
They were more electrified when he was being introduced by the anchor, Salam Adeniyi of TVC, to address the gathering.
Speaking at the occasion, Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared that his mission is to break the shackles of poverty, insecurity and economic stagnation, which the previous administration plunged the country into.
Calling leaders of the opposition party termites and looters, Tinubu said, he is the symbol if freedom for Nigeria and deserves the support of Nigerians.
In her remarks, wife of the President and leader of the women group, Aisha Muhammad Buhari said the Tinubu/Shettima combination is the team to beat and Nigerian women should really round them, so that the APC consolidates on its achievements in government.
While admonishing women,to be wary of those who may seek to divide their ranks and whittle their support, the APC cannot afford to loose the 2023 elections,
This is even as the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu also charged the women wing of the campaign council to hit the ground running.
He said women form the bulk of voters and their inauguration, even ahead of the main campaign council underscores their importance, hence the need to throw a challenge to their male counterparts
Director General of the campaign council, Asabe Villita Bashir promised to galvanize the women folk for Tinubu, as they plan to launch a door to door campaign, assuring that, Nigerian women are set to take the lead in the campaigns.
National TRAIL correspondent reports that, women could be seen dancing around the banquette hall of the state House, venue of the event as they sang praises of the candidate and his running mate.
They duo excitedly acknowledge cheers at every turn, when their names were mentioned.
