PDP TAKES UYO BY THE STORMS FOR ITS INAUGURAL CAMPAIGN

In what has been described as the largest political gathering in Uyo, the Ajwa Ibom State Capital, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP on Monday launched it’s inaugural Presidential. Campaign.
Although five it’s Governors under the leadership of Rivers State Governor, Nyeson Wike, stayed away from the rally, the party appears undeterred.
Our correspondent in Akwa Ibom reports that, the Champions stadium, venue of the campaign overflowed with party supporters, who defied all odds to attend.
Standa d bearer of the party, and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar told the gathering that, he is on a mission to rescue Nigeria from the clueless leadership and misgovernance.
He said Nigerians were better off under the PDP in terms of security, economy and general governance.
The PDP, he said never promised what they could not deliver upon and never showcased what they did not achieve, unlike the APC.
According to the Wazirin Adamawa Nigerians can fact check their records in the management of the economy, stressing that the country was adjudged the largest and best economy in Africa under the PDP.
Atiku said he poses the requisite experience and exposure and understands the country’s problems better than any of the Presidential candidates, hence the need to be given the chance to manifest his vast potentials.
Embattled National Chairman of the party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu, in his remarks admonished Nigerians not to be left behind in the new quest to rescue the country.
He said, the party has overcome it’s challenges and is set to take off like the train, and those who allow themselves to be left behind will have themselves to blame.
He described the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as clueless and lacks the capacity to address Nigeria’s current challenges.
Ayu said, PDP remains the only party with the requisite capacity, given the avalanche of professionals within its ranks to handle security, the economy and general governance.
