Armed bandits carried out a deadly assault during a Maulud celebration in Kusa, Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, resulting in at least 20 fatalities and multiple abductions. The attack occurred around 11:05 pm, creating chaos as the assailants opened fire on the festivities. Many individuals were injured, and 20 people lost their lives during the attack. Additionally, several individuals were forcefully taken captive by the bandits. The police confirmed the incident and reported that 18 individuals were injured and transported to the hospital, with two of them later succumbing to their injuries. Investigations are underway to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
