Barcelona to Face Chelsea, Lyon vs PSG Set for Women’s Champions League Semifinal

Barcelona secured a place in the Women’s Champions League semifinals with a commanding 3-1 victory over Brann, setting up a rematch of last season’s semifinal against Chelsea, while Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) also advanced to the last four of the prestigious competition.

The reigning European champions, Barcelona, saw goals from Aitana Bonmati, Fridolina Rolfo, and Patri Guijarro as they comfortably progressed past Brann, aiming for their third triumph in four seasons.

Despite a spirited effort from Brann, Barcelona’s quality shone through, with Rolfo and Guijarro sealing the win after Tomine Svendheim briefly gave the Norwegian side hope with a second-half goal.

Barcelona’s clash with Chelsea promises to be an exciting encounter, with both teams in excellent form and eyeing a spot in the final.

Meanwhile, PSG secured their semifinal berth with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over Hacken, progressing 5-1 on aggregate. Malawi striker Tabitha Chawinga, Korbin Albert, and Marie-Antoinette Katoto were on target for PSG, setting up an all-French semifinal showdown against Lyon.

The clash between PSG and Lyon guarantees an intense battle between two of France’s top teams, with Lyon aiming for their ninth Champions League title.

With Barcelona facing Chelsea and Lyon taking on PSG, the Women’s Champions League semifinals promise thrilling encounters as the teams vie for a spot in the final in Bilbao.
