Bauchi State Government has implored the Corps Members posted to the state to reflect the spirit of the National Youth Service Corps NYSC towards improving the lives of host communities for a sustainable growth and development.

The State Governor Bala made the call at the Swearing-In and Opening Ceremony of the 2023 Batch B Stream ll Corps Members held at NYSC Orientation Camp Wailo in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.

Bala who was represented by the commissioner Ministry of Youth and Sports Development Muhammad Salees said the National Service Scheme is an essential instrument in postering national unity assured the support of his administration in championing the course.

While expressing concern on the numerous challenges facing the scheme including rejection of corps members, infrastructural deficit at various orientation camps, as well as insecurity, Bala Mohammed assured that the state government is working towards addressing the problems.

The Governor warned the youth against engaging in anti social behavior and social vices such as Drug abuse, cultism, prostitution, terrorism and militancy to better their future.

He therefore congratulated them for the successful graduation from various institutions of learning and the subsequent mobilization into the National Service Scheme.
