Relationship expert Blessing Okoro has voiced her disapproval of an event where women were seen wearing wedding gowns while praying for husbands. In a thought-provoking Instagram post, Okoro questioned the meaning of women donning wedding gowns in hopes of attracting husbands.
She emphasized the distinction between creating content and embracing a misguided perception of marriage. Okoro expressed concern that such events may give women the wrong impression of marriage and suggested that the pastor organizing the event was promoting an inaccurate view of marriage.
Okoro stressed that marriage is a union between two individuals and not solely about women seeking husbands. She also warned that openly demonstrating a strong desire to get married could potentially reduce a woman’s value in the eyes of a man.
Her comments have sparked discussions about societal expectations placed on women and how societal pressure can influence individuals’ perceptions of marriage.
