Congratulations are pouring in for former Destiny Kids’ star Rejoice Iwueze and her husband as they welcome their first child. The gospel singer shared the joyful news on her Instagram page, along with photos from her maternity shoot.
In her announcement, Rejoice expressed that she and her husband have transitioned from being a couple to becoming parents, marking a new chapter in their lives. While welcoming their new bundle of joy, she asserted that God can be trusted. However, she did not disclose the sex of their child.
“Leveled up from just being a couple to being parents… God can be trusted. Welcome to the new level baby,” she wrote in her Instagram post.
Rejoice Iwueze’s journey to motherhood comes after she announced her engagement to Oladapo Temitayo Samuel in September 2022. The former gospel music group member subsequently had a traditional wedding two months later, followed by a white wedding.
Her traditional wedding was marked by emotional moments, including Rejoice kneeling before her father, a traditional Igbo gesture, as he handed a can of malt (often used to replace palm wine) to her husband.
Sharing photos from her wedding ceremonies, Rejoice expressed her pride in calling her husband and looked forward to this new chapter in her life with great excitement.
