Street artist Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has reached out to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), seeking forgiveness for his involvement in a money-spraying incident. His plea comes in the wake of crossdresser Okuneye Idris, aka Bobrisky, receiving a six-month jail sentence for a Naira Mutilation offence.
Portable, who once claimed to distribute nearly N2 million daily to his followers through money spraying, now expresses regret for his actions. In a recent live chat, he emphasized that his intentions were rooted in kindness toward people.
Acknowledging the potential consequences of his actions, Portable expressed fear and appealed to both the government and the EFCC for leniency. He pledged to refrain from money spraying in the future and encouraged his supporters to open bank accounts, stating that he would only provide financial assistance through transfers.
Clarifying his stance, Portable asserted that he did not deface the Naira and reiterated his commitment to helping others. He expressed remorse for any previous instances of money spraying and pleaded for forgiveness, signaling his intent to cease such practices going forward.
