BREAKING: APC launches electronic member registration.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) is now undergoing an electronic registration process for its 40 million-plus members in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the APC National Chairman, disclosed this during a meeting with Deputy National Officers and National Executive Committee members in Abuja. This initiative follows a nationwide registration exercise led by the Mai Mala Buni-led National Caretaker Committee two years ago that reported a membership count of over 40 million.

Speaking to reporters, Ganduje emphasized the importance of updating the party’s membership records electronically to reflect its true strength. He expressed concerns over the discrepancy between the 41 million reported members and the 8 million votes received during the 2023 presidential elections.

Highlighting the need for accuracy in data, Ganduje stated, “Our move to digital registration is crucial to ensure we operate with precise data. We’re already progressing in this effort, and members should anticipate a comprehensive electronic registration.”

Furthermore, Ganduje, the former governor of Kano, announced the APC’s plans to create a National Institute of Democratic Studies. This initiative aims to guide Nigerians in aligning their actions with democratic values and political ideologies.
