Cleric tasks Nigerian elected leaders to justify electorate’s confidence in them

The Spiritual Father and Chairman Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, His Grace Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, has enjoined newly elected leaders across the country to justify the confidence reposed in them by the people, just as he challenged INEC to endeavour to improve on its performance in subsequent polls.

Prophet Abidoye, who gave the charge in his message released at the Church International headquarters Galilee Land, Orile Igbon, Oyo State, congratulated all Nigerians on the just concluded elections which, he noted, had been adjudged to be free and fair.

He said: “The electoral umpire, INEC, should however try to improve on its performance towards making our subsequent elections better than that of this year.

“We are not yet there, we shall reach where we are going. Before the next elections, we would have improved beyond what we did this year.”

The Spiritual Father added: “Nonetheless, I congratulate the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National Assembly Members-elect, State Governors-elect and the State Houses of Assembly Members-elect on their successes at the polls”.

He noted further: “I wish everybody good luck in their political endeavours. We now have a new President who had worked in Lagos as a Governor, his works in Lagos are there for all to see, he is now going to rule Nigeria and I believe that he will use God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding which will make people recognise him better than what he did in Lagos.

“All eyes are on him. I pray that his tenure will be so good that Nigerians will want him to go for another term to make eight years.”

The Spiritual Father challenged Tinubu to be conscious of the fact that the citizens yearn for many things that would make us be like other developed countries, adding that the President-elect should strive to make Nigeria better than he met it, while seeking support for his administration as he strives to appeal to all Nigerians to work for a better Nigeria.

He also congratulated Kwara State, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on his re-election for another term, urging him to justify the confidence reposed in him by the people.

“Now that he is lucky to get another term, he should try to improve on his performances, He should make sure there is no separation of classes, religions or tribes,” he admonished.

Prophet Abidoye stressed the need for Governor AbdulRazaq to unite everybody and see them as members of the same family, adding: “He can do this, It is in his hand. He has been there before and I know that he will improve on what he has done in his first term.

“No doubt, people have reposed their confidence in the Governor, hence the massive voting for him in the governorship election. So, it is his turn to make Kwarans happy through amazing service. It is his responsibility to continue with the the good work he has been doing and to also make people get assured about their faith and confidence they have reposed in him.”
