Dr Abolore Charges JASUTI on morality

Kwara State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Dr Alabi Afees Abolore, has charged the Joint Academic Staff Union in Tertiary Institutions (JASUTI) across the state to instil morality on Students in their respective Citadels of learning.

The Commissioner gave the charge while the newly elected executive members of the Union paid a familiarization visit on him on Thursday. They were received by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Hajiya Habibat Salman Saidu

Dr Abolore, who spoke through the Permanent Secretary, encouraged the Union to be diligent and work together as a formidable team that would productively drive the union to greater heights.

The Permanent Secretary also challenged the new executives to be proactive, committed, and always demonstrate a high level of responsiveness in ensuring that tertiary institutions in the state attain international standard.

Hajiya Saidu, however, assured the visiting team of robust administrative support that would enhance its agitations as a Union.

She advised them to work collectively as a team in order to have a good representation.

In his remarks, the Director of Continuing Education, Elder Joseph Afolayan congratulated the new JASUTI executives, adding that the Ministry is open to suggestions that would positively enhance efficient productivity and development across tertiary institutions in the state.

The newly elected Chairman of the Union in Tertiary Institutions, Comrade Salau Omotayo, appreciated the Commissioner in

NY s and thanked the Permanent Secretary for the warm reception accorded them.

He assured the Ministry that the Union is peaceful and would not relent at ensuring that the Citadels of learning are productively enhanced through their various primary assignments.

Comrade Omotayo further appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his giant strides, congratulating him on the remarkable victory at the polls, and prayed for a successful tenure in his second term in office.
