Staff of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital (FNPH)-Uselu, Benin City, have appealed to the acting President, Yemi Osinbajo to come to their aid over injustice and abuse of power meted out to them.
In a press release made available to journalists in Benin city, and signed by Doctor Ambrose Lawani, former head Residency Training/Forensic Unit, Consultant Special Grade and others said, that they have being put in a situation that have made them feel that they are not true citizens of this country.
According to them, they have written series of letters to both the presidency and the Federal Ministry of Health about their flight in the hands of the Chief Medical Director, CMD,Dr Sunday Osasu Olotu of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital (FNPH)-Uselu , Benin City, but all to no avail.
The petition titled (“Another reminder of an appeal for your urgent intervention in the reinstatement of staff of Federal Neuro-Psychiatric hospital Uselu, Benin City, who are victims of corruption, injustice and abuse of power”)
They appeal to the acting president, ” to earnestly use his good offices to direct their immediate re-instatement, and payment of all their outstanding salaries, promotion arrears and arrears of relativity.
According to them, “Our families and dependants should not be made to suffer because we exposed massive acts of corruption in the Federal Ministry of Health during the “Transformation Era”.
They also requested for, “The Withdrawal of phantom cases instituted in Magistrate Courts against members of staff by the Police from Okhoro Division and AIG Zone 5 of the Nigeria Police.
A probe of officers of the Nigerian Police involved in the orchestration of the phantom cases against innocent members of staff and meting out appropriate disciplinary measures on them.”
They are also calling for, “The exhumation and implementation of the Federal Ministry of Health 2011 panel report of Rabi Adamu mni and the numerous petitions of fraudulent acts by Dr. S.O Olotu which have been covered up and that under legitimate expectation we should not be superseded by those who were our juniors in service.”
