Former Kwara Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, Interrogated by EFCC

Abdulfatah Ahmed, the immediate past governor of Kwara State, is currently undergoing interrogation at the Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in GRA, Ilorin.

According to a reliable source within the commission, Ahmed arrived at the EFCC office around 9 a.m. on Monday and has remained there for several hours.

The former governor, who served from 2011 to 2019, is known for his expertise in banking and finance. However, the nature of his interrogation remains undisclosed at this time.

Efforts to reach Abdulfatah Ahmed for comment were unsuccessful as calls to his phone went unanswered.

The invitation from the EFCC comes amidst financial controversies surrounding certain projects carried out during Ahmed’s administration.

As of the latest update, Abdulfatah Ahmed remains in the custody of the EFCC, awaiting further developments in the investigation.
