Land Encroachment Alert: Wike Issues Ultimatum to Abuja Tech Village Owners

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern ultimatum to the proprietors of unauthorized structures within the Abuja Technology Village, warning them to vacate the premises promptly or face legal consequences.

Wike conveyed this directive during a site inspection in Pyakasa, Abuja, accompanied by the Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, on Monday.

Reportedly, the FCT minister emphasized that the Federal Government had already provided settlements for illegal occupants in 2015, instructing them to relocate. Despite this, the unauthorized structures continued to proliferate, necessitating decisive action to reinforce the government’s stance.

Further elucidating, the Minister of Science and Technology underscored the significance of the Abuja Technology Village in accommodating emerging technologies sought after by the Federal Government. He stressed the imperative of delineating the territory to attract investors and facilitate the government’s technological advancement objectives.
