Adeyemi ‘Spirit’ Adekanla, the light welterweight boxer, is determined to dethrone Segun ‘War’ Adeyemi and seize the West African Boxing Union (WABU) title in their upcoming clash at GOtv Boxing Night 31 on May 1.

The highly anticipated 10-round title bout headlines the event, which features a total of seven thrilling matches set to take place at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos.

Expressing his confidence ahead of the fight, ‘Spirit’ emphasized his commitment to maintaining his unbeaten streak and securing the WABU championship.

“I am putting in intense preparation for this bout. It’s my time to claim the WABU title, so there’s no room for ‘War’ anymore. I’ve never tasted defeat in my career, and I intend to uphold that record come May 1,” he affirmed.
