IEDPU: GAMA Congratulates AbdulMalik, Other New Executives

The Gamji Members Association (GAMA) in Kwara State has congratulated a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Alhaji AbdulMumini AbdulMalik on his election as the new President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU).

AbdulMalik and other executives of the union were elected on Tuesday during the 58th annual national conference of the IEDPU in Afon, the headquarters of Asa local government area of Kwara State.

GAMA, an association devoted to the promotion of the ideals of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, described the election of AndulMalik and other officials as well deserved.

In a statement signed by its President General,Alhaji Mohammed Tunde Akanbi and Director of Publicity, Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, GAMA hailed the peaceful manner the union election was conducted.

It enjoined the winners to carry everyone, including their opponents, along in the running of the IEDPU, noting that the union belongs to all bonafide indigenes of Ilorin Emirate.

It equally enjoined those who lost out in the election to join hands with the new executives, so that together they can move the union forward.

GAMA, however, advised the new President and his team to start work in earnest, ensure the completion of the ongoing projects they inherited from their predecessors and initiate new ones for the betterment of Ilorin Emirate and its people.
