The Kwara State Government has reiterated its preparedness to collaborate with the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) with a view to attracting investors to the state.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, said this while receiving members of the National Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture in his office.
The Governor, who was represented by his Deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, said Kwara State has immense human, land and mineral resources that are yet to be harnessed. He, therefore, invited NACCIMA members to take advantage of these opportunities and invest in the state.
Governor AbdulRazak canvassed for more significant investments in the state’s manufacturing and agricultural sectors to generate employment for youths and drive growth.
The government, he said, has created a conducive environment for businesses and would collaborate with investors interested in establishing companies in the state.
Earlier, the National President, NACCIMA, Hajiya Saratu Iya Aliyu, commended the government’s support for its local chapter, the Kwara State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KWACCIMA), while assuring the governor that both chambers would work together for the economic development of Kwara state and Nigeria at large.
Hajiya Aliyu said NACCIMA, as the voice of Nigerian Business, is a leading member of the organised private sector which canvasses for a conducive environment and friendly business policies.
She appealed to the government to regularise documentation for the land allocated to NACCIMA by the previous administration for the Trade Fair site, stressing that this would boost economic development.
In the same vein, KWACCIMA President, Dr Ahmed Raji, urged the government to expedite action on the trade fair site which he said would also house NACCIMA training academy.
