Kwara PDP House of Reps candidate promises robust representation

Kwara state House of Representatives candidate for the Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, has promised to deploy his public and private sectors’ experience and networks with people and institutions across all levels of government to attract projects, amenities and programmes that would create a better life for his constituents if given the mandate.

Ajia, who spoke on Wednesday in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital, at the presentation of “My Offer To Serve”, assured his constituents of robust, responsible and effective representation in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly if elected at the 25th February poll.

He said: ” What our people need is basic support from government that will empower them to fend for themselves.

“Growing up in this constituency, I have seen our mothers and fathers struggle to feed their families every day. It saddens me to see the desperation and fear in the eyes of our youths about what tomorrow holds for them.

“My mission is to give the good people of Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency a responsible and an@ effective representation in the Green Chamber.”

The PDP senatorial candidate, noted for his philanthropic gestures, said he would use his profound experience in community service, through his non governmental organisation, MAI Foundation, which continues to keep him close to the raw challenges being faced daily by his people, to address the challenges.

Ajia, who rued the security challenges being faced by the people across the country, particularly in his constituency, promised to initiate a Bill at the National Assembly, if elected, that would address insecurity in Nigeria through the strengthening of all the nation’s security apparatchiks.

He commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for its insistence on the usage of the BVAS, saying with that, the people’s votes would count in the 2023 general elections.

He said: “BVAS is a good development, it will solve all the problems and will also make our votes to count. Kudos to INEC.”
