The Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti, has described the Registrar of the Kwara state Polytechnic, Mr. Kolawole Sheye Akande, as an illustrious son of Omu-Aran, the headquarters of Irepodun local government area of the state.
Putting to rest insinuations making the round that the Registrar is not from Kwara State but an Ogbomosho Indigene, the first class traditional ruler said the Registrar, aside being a bona fide son of Omu-Aran, is also a Prince who is entitled to the traditional throne of the community.
Representing the Olomu of Omu-Aran during the solidarity visit to the Polytechnic management, High Chief Saad Owolewa expressed Olomu’s profound appreciation to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for appointing one of Olomu’s subjects as the Registrar of the Polytechnic, saying the appointment was in appreciation of the late Brigadier General David Lasisi Bamigboye, the founding father of the Polytechnic that was established in 1972.
Urging peaceful coexistence among the people of the state to enable the governor implement his promises to the citizenry, Oba Adeoti admonished the Rector, Registrar and other management staff to continue to work harmoniously together, devoid of rumour mongering and gossip among the staff and students of the institution.
Receiving the emissaries of Olomu in his office, the Rector, Engr. Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, expressed delight at the posture of the Olomu on the rumour, stating that the visit came at an apt time.
The Rector also lauded the governor for the intelligent manner he has been piloting the affairs of the state since his assumption of office on May 29, 2019
