“Labour Party Stakeholders Pass Vote of Confidence on Gov. Otti”

Stakeholders of the Labour Party (LP) across the 17 council areas of Abia state have unanimously expressed their confidence in Governor Alex Otti’s leadership.

During an extensive meeting attended by Governor Otti himself, party leaders, political appointees, and representatives from the National and State Assemblies, stakeholders lauded Otti’s performance during his 11 months in office as governor.

Hon. Obi Aguocha, representing Umuahia/Ikwuano federal constituency, moved a motion for the vote of confidence, highlighting Otti’s remarkable achievements that have exceeded expectations. The motion received a standing ovation and was seconded by Hon. Munachim Alozie, the Member representing Obingwa/Osisioma/Ugwunagbo Federal Constituency. Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, unanimously approved the motion following a vote.

The meeting aimed to foster familiarity between the party hierarchy and government appointees, including members of the State Executive Council and Transition Committee chairmen.

Governor Otti expressed surprise and gratitude for the vote of confidence, attributing the recognition to the administration’s modest achievements within a short period. He acknowledged the challenges faced upon assuming office but highlighted the positive transformation witnessed in Abia state, emphasizing that the state has progressed significantly under his leadership.

Otti concluded by expressing gratitude for the recognition of the administration’s efforts and pledged to continue working diligently for the progress and development of Abia state.
