Late Senator Ibrahim: Kwara PDP raises committee for 41st day fidau

The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has constituted a 10-member committee to organise a special 41-day post-mortal prayer in honor of the late Senator Dr. Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim.

The late former Senator represented Kwara South Senatorial District in the 8th Senate
and was Chairman of Senate Committee on Banking, insurance and other financial institutions.

A statement by the spokesman of the PDP, Olusegun Olusola Adewara, said the Committee would be chaired by the Kwara Central Senatorial Chairman, Hon. Isiaka Owolabi.

Other members of the Committee are Hon. Abdulrahman Abbdullahi Kayode, Hon. Mohammed Abdumumeen, Hon. Gabriel Kannanjogun, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara, Hon Mustapha Kabir Olanrewaju, Hon. Abegunde Margaret, Hon. Princess Segilola Abdulkadir, Alhaji Yusuf Morocco and Audu Jubril.

The Committee is tasked with recommending activities and modalities to mark the 41-day Firdau prayer and has until Tuesday, 21st May to submit its report.

The statement added that the late
Senator and Chieftain of the PDP in Kwara State, who was described as a politician with human face, passed away on April 17, 2024 after a brief illness, in Abuja hospital and was buried same day according to Islamic rites at the Muslim Cemetery, Osere, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
