Mamelodi Sundowns Unveil New 2016/17 PUMA Kit

Ahead of their CAF Champions League final Group B match against Enyimba of Nigeria next week, Mamelodi Sundowns have unveiled their new home and away jersey.
The 2015/16 Absa Premiership and Telkom Knockout Cup champions have parted ways with their technical sponsor, NIKE and have partnered with PUMA.
In a statement on the club’s official website, the side revealed that the new 2016/17 home and away football kit is inspired by Bafana Ba Style, a nickname reflecting the boldness and flair associated with a team that has won a record seven Premier Soccer League titles.
“PUMA is extremely proud to release the 2016/17 Mamelodi Sundowns kit”, said PUMA Marketing Director Brett Bellinger.
“The design of the kit and in particular the fabrication should allow the Team to perform at their Forever Faster best while continuing the tradition of Mamelodi Sundowns being the most stylish Team in the PSL.
“PUMA wishes the Team and Management all the best for the coming season, we are behind you all the way.”
On the other hand, the club’s Media Officer Thulani Thuswa said the club is excited by the partnership with PUMA.
“Together with our supporters we are extremely excited about this historic partnership with PUMA,” said Thuswa.
“We can expect top of the line high tech product, which will ensure our team’s continued dominance over our opponents on the pitch.
“Our supporters are also aexpecting to stay stylish, hence the phrase ‘Bafana Ba Style’.”
Meanwhile, it is announced that the home jersey will be available in stores from the 2nd of September and the Away shirt is available in October 2016 – both are selling for R699 at PUMA stores and select retailers nationwide.
The Tshwane giants have already booked a spot in the 2016 CAF Champions League semifinals; having clinched top spot in group B.
They will first be spotted in their new kit when they meet SuperSport United in the MTN8 Cup quarterfinals on August 28, at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
