Bandits have reportedly attacked Kulben community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State, leading to the death of 10 individuals. The incident, which occurred around 10 pm on Sunday, 10/09/2023, also resulted in the destruction of several homes in the village.
Moses Fwan, a local resident, shared details about the violent intrusion and mentioned plans for a mass burial for the victims. Dr Elisha, Chairman of the Mwaghavul Development Association in Kombun District, corroborated the account. While the Military Special Task Force’s Media Officer, Captain Oya James, was unaware of the event, he committed to an investigation.
Alfred Alabo, the state Police Command spokesperson, confirmed the deployment of security operatives to the impacted area and condemned the assault.
