Edo State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Col. (Dr.) David Imuse has condemned the Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki over his comment that the national Chairman of the APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole should be notifying him whenever he wants to come to his home State, Edo State.
He also adviced the Governor not to regard his
inordinate ambition to have a second term in office as a do or die affairs as the power to be in power lies on God and the will of the people. Therefore the Governor should not over stretch his luck.
Condemning the act of sponsoring thugs and hoodlums, to continue to attack the National Chairman of the ruling Party, as witnessed in the ugly incident that took place at the Benin Airport last week end, the chairman lamented that Obaseki has ridiculed and diminish the office of the State Governor to such a Pedestal just to remain in power at all cost.
“Power is transient and it belongs to God and he gives it to anyone he wishes to give” Imuse retreated.
Sounding a note of warning to Obaseki, not to mistake the patience, tranquility and good conduct of the party and the People of Edo State as a mark of weakness, Imuse adviced the Governor to Concentrate on Governance in the remaining few days in office, and allow peace to
reign in the State.
On seeking permission before Oshiomhole can visit his Own State, the State Chairman wondered whether this same condition has being laid down to all other former Edo State Governors.
The Chairman also wondered to what extent do Obaseki himself take Clearance from Lagos State Governor to enable him pass through Lagos, in his periodical globe trotting, when he pretentiously seek for unseen investors to sign phantom memorandum of understanding.
