Real Madrid set to offer £100m for Kane as Benzema’s replacement

Real Madrid poised to make £100m offer for Tottenham’s Harry Kane as they seek to replace Karim Benzema

Real Madrid has confirmed the departure of Karim Benzema from the Bernabeu this summer, leaving the club in search of a new striker. With a longstanding interest in Harry Kane, Madrid is now ready to make a bid to bring the 29-year-old to the Spanish capital for the upcoming season. Sources indicate that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will demand a minimum starting price of £100 million for Kane, although negotiations are possible. Additionally, Chelsea’s Kai Havertz is also being considered as a potential replacement for Benzema by Real Madrid.

Real Madrid’s plans for the 2023-24 campaign have been disrupted by Karim Benzema’s departure.

The club had intended to secure the services of Spain striker Joselu on loan as a backup for Benzema. It was anticipated that Benzema would activate an automatic one-year extension to his contract, but his departure has created a void in Real Madrid’s striker position.
