Stakeholders in Irepodun local government area of Kwara state have expressed their support for the aspiration of a former Commissioner of Information in the state, Comrade Ben Duntoye, to represent them at the state House of Assembly on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

They vowed to ensure the victory of Duntoye during the state House of Assembly election next year.
Chief Taiwo Ogundipe and Hon. Ayansola Mohammed spoke on behalf of their colleagues at a stakeholders meeting held in Ajase- Ipo.

They hinged their support for the youthful aspirant on what they described as “Duntoye’s track records of achievements as a youth leader and cabinet member under the administration of Dr. Bukola Saraki as the state governor.

They expressed delight that Duntoye’s acceptability cut across the youth, women, and artisans’ groups as well as traditional rulers, not only in the constituency but also across the state.

Responding, the House of Assembly hopeful, Ben Duntoye, thanked the stakeholders for endorsing his candidature and pledged to use the position, if elected, to attract more development to his constituency.

He praised the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, for the purposeful leadership he’s offering, not only Kwara state but also the nation, as exemplified in the National Assembly. Duntoye has, therefore, urged the people of the state and other Nigerians desirous of national development to support Saraki in his bid to become the nation’s next president.

“Things have gone terribly bad in the country and it requires honest, detribalised, brilliant and energetic leader like the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, to put the nation back on the track of sustainable development, peace and tranquillity,” he said.

Duntoye also commended the state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, for executing numerous developmental projects across the state and Irepodun local government area in particular.
