In a message marking the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, President Tinubu has called upon Muslims across Nigeria to come together in prayer and unity as the country stands at a pivotal crossroads, where collective efforts are needed to ensure its economic security.
The President conveyed this message through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement released on Tuesday, September 26, 2023.
Titled ‘Eid-el-Maulud: Embracing the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad,’ the statement underscores the significance of Nigeria’s current position and the vital role that patriotism, patience, and prayers from citizens play in its stability and prosperity.
While extending his warm wishes to Muslims on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, President Tinubu urged them to not merely celebrate the Prophet’s birthday but also to reflect deeply on the values and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
In his message, Tinubu emphasized the importance of following in the footsteps of the Prophet, drawing attention to the profound lessons of devotion, perseverance, tolerance, humility, and selflessness that can be gleaned from his life.
Furthermore, the President encouraged religious leaders to seize this period as an opportunity to lead prayers for the nation and inspire their followers to embrace the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in their dedication to the betterment of Nigeria.
As Nigeria stands at a critical juncture, President Tinubu’s call for unity, prayer, and adherence to the principles espoused by the Prophet echoes the importance of coming together as a nation to secure a prosperous future.
