Vanguard newspaper’s Governor of Year 2022 Award: Dr. Abolore lauds AbdulRazaq

Award bestowed on Kwara state Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq by the Vanguard Group of Newspapers has been described as a recognition of the Governor’s sterling performance in the past three and a half years.

Congratulating AbdulRazaq on the well deserved honour, State Commissioner for Tertiary Education Dr. Alabi Afees Abolore reiterated the need for the people of the state to support the Governors second term bid to enable him continue with the good works of moving the State to greater heights.

Dr. Abolore added that AbdulRazaq’s milestone achievements across board are not only visible and verifiable, but also futuristic for the development of the state, saying it is worth applauding by all and sundry, particularly in the areas of education, health, human capital development, infrastructural development and social investment programmes, among others.

He said: “While congratulating Your Excellency on this well deserved Award, I am proud and confident that your leadership style and performance in the past three and a half years has been strikingly outstanding, laudable and applauded by the people.

“Kwarans are happy and at home with your administration for delivering in the past three and a half years on social investment programmes, health, workers’ prompt payment of salaries and general welfare, including the retirees, infrastructural development, human capital and resources development, youth engagement and women inclusion in governance, education, among others.”

The Commissioner urged the people of the state and in the diaspora to continue to support the state government to enable it deliver more dividends of democracy to the citizenry, noting that the Award would spur the Governor to work harder on the delivery of his electioneering promises.
