VP Shettima Optimistic About Nigeria’s Economic Future, Launches ‘Outsource to Nigeria Initiative’

Vice President Kashim Shettima expressed confidence in the future of Nigeria’s economy, citing ongoing reforms under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu. Shettima made these remarks during the launch of the “Outsource to Nigeria Initiative” (OTNI) in Gombe, aimed at harnessing the country’s talents and skills for economic growth.

Describing Tinubu as a visionary leader and economic strategist, Shettima highlighted the importance of distinguishing Nigeria’s current situation within the global landscape. He assured Nigerians that the reforms initiated by the administration would pave the way for economic prosperity, urging patience amidst temporary challenges.

Shettima emphasized that the tough decisions taken by the government were strategic investments to strengthen the nation’s economy’s foundations. He reaffirmed his belief that these reforms would weather the storms and lead Nigeria towards a prosperous future.

The Vice President expressed confidence in OTNI’s potential to transform Nigeria’s economic fortunes by creating millions of job opportunities and driving growth in the BPO and IT-enabled services sector. He noted that the initiative would leverage Nigeria’s abundant talents and skills to attract global firms and foster economic development.

Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe commended the initiative’s launch in the state, citing Gombe’s potential for technological innovation and economic growth. Meanwhile, the Founder/CEO of OTNI, Amal Hassan, highlighted Nigeria’s significant potential in the global BPO market and outlined the initiative’s goals to connect Nigerian youths with global job opportunities and attract investments.

Through streamlined processes and the use of digital platforms like WorkNation, OTNI aims to position Nigeria as the preferred outsourcing destination, facilitating talent acquisition and deployment according to partners’ requirements.

The launch of OTNI signifies a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors to drive Nigeria’s economic transformation and showcase its capabilities on the global stage.
