The Yobe State Police Command Public Relations office DSP Dingus Abdulkarim, has confirmed that the command have arrested a 22 years old Sani Musa, popularly known as Regis Oga Soja at Nayi Nawa ward in Damaturu over his connection with the stabbing of a 24-year-old salesgirl.
DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, who made the disclosure in a press statement said that the culprit was nabbed on 30th April, 2024 at about 2330hrs.
Abdulkarim said the suspect was arrested in a hideout having snatched the cellphone – Itel A663LC/MTN Sim Card and assorted charms in his possession.
He added that the culprit unequivocally confessed to committing the crime when interviewed by the police.
He quoted the Commissioner of Police, Garba Ahmed to express relief , describing the operation as effective and timely.
CP Garba also encouraged officers to maintain the tempo and make Yobe State uninhabitable for criminals.
He commended members of the communities for their unwavering support in the fight against crime and assured that proactive measures have been put in place to avert future occurrence.
