Christians across the country have been enjoined to emulate Jesus Christ by truly reflecting on and abiding with the generosity of spirit and kindness occasioned by the Christmas season.

The admonition was made in a statement on Saturday in Ilorin, the state capital, by the spokesperson
of the Kwara State Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Oyeyemi Olasumbo Florence, while felicitating with Christians as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Describing the Christmas season as full of joy and colour, the APC Campaign Council assured the people of the state of a greater year 2023 with the extension of the AbdulRahman AbduRazaq-led administration.

“We congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters in Kwara and Nigeria on the celebration of this year’s Christmas. The important event, central to the Christian faith, provides hope and good cheer to adherents of the faith. The generosity of spirit and kindness occasioned by the season also serve to strengthen communal bonds and inspire positive actions,” the statement stated.

“We wish everyone a joyous and colourful celebration, while hoping that the positive virtues inspired by the season will abide.”

The statement also gave assurances of more positive developments in the year 2023, noting that “Kwara State is on the ascendant and all projections show that we are poised for growth and abundance in all sectors, because of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulaRazaq’s stellar leadership and smart investments.”

While encouraging residents to take advantage of the holidays to revitalise bonds with loved ones and their communities, the Campaign Council urged safe and responsible celebrations, particularly on the road, with complete observance of all safety guidelines issued by relevant authorities.
