Asake Clinches Best African Act at 2024 MOBO Awards [Full Winners List]

Asake, the rising Nigerian music sensation, adds another accolade to his burgeoning career by winning the Best African Act at the 2024 MOBO Awards. Since his breakthrough into the mainstream in 2022 with the chart-topping single ‘Omo Ope’, Asake has consistently delivered hit releases and two successful albums, solidifying his status as a superstar in the music industry.

At the prestigious 2024 MOBO Awards, Asake emerged victorious in the Best African Act category, triumphing over formidable competition from Nigerian heavyweights such as Adekunle Gold, Davido, Rema, Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, and Wizkid. Also contending in the category were South African artist Tyla, Cameroonian-American singer Libianca, and eSwatini’s Uncle Waffles.

However, Asake was not the sole Nigerian artist honored at the event. Afro-gospel sensation Limoblaze clinched the Best Gospel Act award, further highlighting Nigeria’s musical prowess on the global stage.
