Bauchi State Board of Internal Revenue has generated over 6.2bn revenue in their effort to meet 9bn revenue targeted by the State Government amidst economic recession.
The Acting Chairman of the Board Yakubu Isa stated this while interacting with newsmen in Bauchi, He said ‘ the performance of the board climaxed with an increase of 10.2 percent over and above amount collected in 2015 and 94 percent of the revised 2015 budget, the consolidated 2016 are still being awaited
Yakubu said the state witnessed a steady increase in revenue generation and successfully integrated Tax Administration system (ITAS)
He said the ITAS helped the board to administer tax policies and laws in an efficient, fair and transparent manner.
The Chairman reiterated his Commitment to make Bauchi State financially sustainable through internally generated revenue through the provision of accountable services to tax payers.
