“Dr. Amos Dangut’s Remarkable WAEC Journey

Dr. Amos Josiah Dangut previously served as the Deputy Registrar in the Head of National Office’s office. He joined WAEC in 1998 as an Assistant Registrar II and steadily progressed through the ranks to become a Deputy Registrar in April 2018.

During his career at WAEC, he received commendations for his transparent conduct of examinations between 2000 and 2006. He has held various positions within the organization, including Assistant Registrar/Subject Officer, Senior Assistant Registrar/Head of Examinations Security, Branch Controller, and Zonal Coordinator.

Dr. Dangut was born on October 2, 1967, in Mbar District of Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State. He completed his education at Government Secondary School, Riyom, and Government Science School, Kuru, before earning a Bachelor of Agriculture in Animal Production from the University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State, in 1991.

He is known for leveraging Information and Communications Technology to enhance processes in Test Development, Test Administration, and Post-Test Activities. Dr. Dangut is also a scholar with educational publications in international and national journals and has presented numerous keynotes and papers at international and national conferences and forums.
