Students and Teachers Promote Patriotism and Unity on Nigeria’s Independence Day

Students and teachers of MD School in Lagos marked Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary by emphasizing the importance of patriotism and unity among citizens. They conducted a National/Patriotism Day event, taking their message to public places in Lagos.

Mrs. Oluwaseun Amusa, the Director of MD School, Lagos, highlighted Nigeria’s potential for greatness if citizens, regardless of age or gender, actively contribute to the country’s progress. She emphasized that both leaders and followers have a responsibility to work toward achieving the Nigeria of their dreams.

The event included a rally with primary school pupils, teachers, parents, and the school’s proprietress, Mrs. Omolara Adedugbe. The participants carried small Nigerian flags and placards with messages promoting unity, progress, and hope for Nigeria’s future. The students expressed their desire for a new Nigeria characterized by genuine love, unity, and peace among citizens, transcending ethnic, religious, and gender differences.

This event aimed to inspire a sense of patriotism and collective responsibility among Nigerians, encouraging them to work together for the nation’s betterment.
