The Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command conducted an extensive overnight operation, resulting in the apprehension of 43 suspects across notorious areas in Oshodi and its neighboring districts.
A statement released on Thursday via the command’s official channels revealed the outcome of the operation, highlighting the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of a semi-automatic pistol during a separate incident.
According to the statement, the operation targeted black spots in Anthony, Bolade Oshodi, and Oshodi Terminus following credible intelligence regarding criminal activities in these areas.
The pistol was seized in Opebi, Ikeja, as part of a discreet operation led by Commander RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, who responded to information provided by the public. Additionally, two 9mm calibre firearms and one expended ammunition were also recovered during the operation.
Following a thorough screening process supervised by Commander RRS, the 43 suspects were identified as individuals involved in criminal activities and are set to face legal charges promptly.
