NNPP South West Chairman Confirms Approval of New Logo

Ademola Ayoade, the South West Zonal Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), clarified that the party’s new logo received approval from the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the national convention.

During the recent national convention, NNPP officially sanctioned the appointment of new members to the National Working Committee and introduced a revamped logo.

However, allegations surfaced on Wednesday when Adebisi Olopoeyan and Kilamiwaye Badmus, both NNPP members from the South West, accused NNPP National leader Rabiu Kwankwaso of unilateral decision-making. They claimed he failed to consult stakeholders before unveiling the new logo.

Olopoeyan stated, “We rejected the logo here in Oyo State. They consulted nobody, and those that decided on the new logo chose what was best for Kwankwasiya Movement and the people of Kano.”

Responding to the allegations, Ayoade issued a statement asserting that the process of logo change adhered to the NNPP constitution. It underwent scrutiny by the NWC, NEC, and national convention for ratification, thus following a democratic process.

He further dismissed claims of a court injunction halting the convention, stating that previous legal challenges against the party’s leadership lacked merit and were consequently dismissed.

Ayoade concluded by labeling the actions of Olopoeyan and Badmus as false, misleading, and malicious, suggesting they may be influenced by political opponents. He urged the public to disregard their claims.
