In a significant development following the confirmation of the elimination of the terrorist leader Yellow Jambros, the Nigerian Airforce carried out airstrikes near Mangoro in Munya LGA of Niger State, resulting in the demise of notorious terrorist leader Ali Kawaje, also known as Ali Kachalla.

The airstrike was prompted by an attack orchestrated by Ali Kachalla and his militants on a security operative detachment in Mangoro Community, leading to the swift deployment of the air component of Operation Whirl Punch. As Kachalla and his associates attempted to withdraw on motorcycles, they were tracked to their hideout near Kopa Hills, where airstrikes were promptly authorized.

The strikes, described as decisive and swift, inflicted effective and maximum damage on the terrorists. Reports from the location and nearby locals confirmed the elimination of several terrorists, including Ali Kachalla, prompting jubilation in Mangoro and its surroundings.

Locals expressed relief and prayed for a similar fate for Dogo Gidei, another notorious figure causing harm to their well-being and livelihoods. Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, the NAF spokesperson, stated that he is awaiting a brief on the airstrike.

This development comes within 24 hours of the NAF’s confirmation of the elimination of another terrorist leader, Yellow Jambros. The consecutive successes raise hopes that the reign of these terrorists and their accomplices may be brought to an end sooner rather than later.

It’s important to note that this news follows the earlier incident where a fighter jet was shot down near Kabaru village, situated approximately 15 km west of Dansadau town.
