FUTA Students Rally Against Frequent Robbery Incidents

In a recent development on February 9, 2024, students from the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Ondo State, took to the streets to protest the recurring incidents of robberies targeting them outside the campus premises.

Led by passionate demonstrators, the students blocked the bustling Akure-Ilesa Road, resulting in a significant traffic jam along the expressway. The protesters chanted solidarity songs, emphasizing their demand for urgent action from the institution’s management, government authorities, and security agencies to address and curb the menace of banditry affecting their safety.
